Refund & Cancellation Policy 

Effective Date: June 22 2026 

The International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM) strives to provide clear information regarding cancellations, transfers, substitutions, and refunds for memberships, certification activities, webinars, conventions, and other offerings. 

General Policy 

Specific cancellation, transfer, substitution, and refund terms may vary by program, event, certification activity, membership category, webinar, convention registration, or educational offering. 

The applicable refund and cancellation policy will be displayed at the time of purchase or registration and shall govern that transaction. 

By completing a registration or purchase, you acknowledge and agree to the cancellation and refund terms associated with the offering. 

Special circumstances and consideration need to be emailed to the Executive Director at info@iaom.com for further review and consideration by the IAOM Executive Committee. There is no guarantee for a full refund even through a special request. 

Membership Dues 

Membership dues are non-refundable once processed. Your membership is valid for one year from the time of payment. 

Educational Programs and Webinars 

Refund eligibility, cancellation deadlines, and transfer options for educational programs and webinars will be outlined within the registration materials and checkout process for each offering. 

Convention Registration both Live & On-Demand 

Convention registration cancellation, refund, transfer, and substitution policies will be published on the checkout page during convention registration. 

Certification Programs

Certification application fees, examination fees, review fees, and related certification expenses may be subject to separate policies published within certification program materials. 

Event Modifications 

IAOM reserves the right to modify schedules, speakers, venues, delivery methods, presentation formats, access periods, or educational content when necessary. 

Force Majeure 

IAOM shall not be responsible for delays, interruptions, cancellations, or modifications caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, public health emergencies, governmental actions, labor disputes, venue closures, internet outages, transportation disruptions, or similar events. 

Refund Processing 

Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method whenever possible. If the funds cannot be returned to the original payment source, IAOM will communicate with you to return the funds to another source.
